At 10:00 a.m. on May 5, the International Symposium on Future Automotive Ecosystem and Technologies officially opened at Liudong International Convention & Exhibition Center.
The participants included academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, well-known experts from universities home and abroad, top technical experts of domestic automobile enterprises, leading cadres from various departments of Liuzhou, representatives of local colleges and universities, delegates from vehicle manufacturers such as SAIC-GM-Wuling and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, as well as auto parts manufacturers.
Liu Ke, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor at that time, delivered a speech at the symposium. He said: "The municipal Party committee and government are speeding up the construction of a national demonstration zone, building a modern manufacturing city of China and developing a trillion-yuan industrial city. Innovation is the only way to achieve these ambitious goals."
During the symposium, Zhong Zhihua, President of Tongji University, Chen Shanghua, Deputy General Manager of BAIC New Energy, James Michael, President of Sika Asia Pacific and other domestic and overseas industrial experts delivered keynote speeches respectively. They discussed the development of the future automobile industry and technological leadership, and exchanged views on promoting industrial transformation and upgrading and exploring emerging markets.
This symposium is the first important achievement after the establishment of Liudong International Cooperation Technology Center. It aims to exchange and discuss the development direction of the automobile industry, create a favorable atmosphere for technical communication in Liuzhou, and lay a solid foundation for the follow-up work of the center.
